We’ve been involved in a number of projects across the country. But recently and more specifically, in Gauteng we’ve supplied solution for 92 Rivonia, The University of Pretoria, the Nedbank Data Centre, and the Houghton Hotel. 92 Rivonia
At 92 Rivonia we supplied around fifteen Danfoss Vacon drives sized from 3 to 30 Kw. Mostly for fresh air supply and Carbon Monoxide extraction. All of the Danfoss Vacon drives were connected to the BMS for monitoring purposes. For local control of the drives we used our Greystone CMD series CO sensors
University of Pretoria
At the University Pretoria we supplied 4 drives ranging from 1.5kw to 5.5kw for the Future Africa building. Each of the drives is connected to the Trend BMS system via BACnet IP, controlling primary and secondary Chilled Water pumps.
The ACS team supported the Trend System integrators in getting the BACnet IP to function correctly and efficiently.
Nedbank Data Centre – Retrofit
Our Nedbank Data Centre retrofit included 10 Genebre Actuators which were fitted to Honeywell butterfly valves to get a faster run time.
In order to make the retrofit possible, a purpose made adaptor coupling was manufactured. It just goes to show – We have the Automated Control Solution you’re looking for!
Houghton Hotel
We supplied over 30 Vacon drives of different sizes to Electric Care who oversaw the installation on this project at the Houghton Hotel in Johannesburg.
The installed drives are now running Air Handling Units, Kitchen Extract Fans, Basement Ventilation and the Fresh Air Supply for the building.As if that wasn’t enough of a ‘powerhouse’’ setup, we have all of the devices connected to the Tridium BMS via BACnet as well.
